Leo New Moon. 8/20

New moons are about new beginnings. This Leo New Moon is especially important for two reasons: 1. It is the opening though the first gate into a world of universal and personal love blending together to forge a new evolution and create a new species from our personal and collective consciousness, and 2. It is the fourth of five SuperMoons where the gravitational effects of the Earth’s waters and crust – as well as on animals (humans) are significant.
This is a time of personal and divine love combining to form the future of community love through the work of transition teams. Real changes are required at this juncture. The old recycled solutions no longer work and won’t be tolerated by The People. The needed variables for the new paradigm to form are as follows: a. taking personal responsibility / accountability for one’s own actions, b. being a team member seeing one’s invaluable part in the transition, c. taking up one’s part in community (the transition team is a short term goal even if it takes lifetimes, while being a member of community is an on-going eternity in the moment experience), d. surrendering into divine love in the moment (this surrender includes ego and allows the divine already within to spring forth and manifest).
Fear and resistance are friends met at the frontier. So if worry and fear surround you, you are not alone, join the club. When we meet the fear and take a risk we breakthrough the boundaries that through the old patriarchy – the rigid walls of society and in ourselves, we begin to form the new world!

Aquarius Full Moon / Lunar Eclipse

Revolutionary and evolutionary forces are at work with this Full Moon (more on this later). Full moons represent the culmination of events that began approximately two weeks ago or on July 21st on the New Moon. However, because this is a Lunar Eclipse – the shadow of Earth falls on the Full Moon – emotional shadow issues about completion are poised for released both individually and globally and could have an effect 6 months prior to this date. This shadow release comes in the context of larger cycles mainly the waxing –building of intensity to the Mayan Cycle date in 2012 and the change to an Aquarian societal matrix.
In the midst of evolution and revolution adjustments will be made – so prepare for adjustments. In making adjustments in your course you change your point of view to an active player rather than a falling prey to disruptions. The revolutionary-evolutionary waxing cycle happened 60 years ago from 1932 – 34 elected Franklin D Roosevelt President and established a social justice system – the New Deal, Einstein reorganized our notions of reality, and the US Federal Reserve Bank was established. These aspects in the context of other cycles (Mayan and the cusp of Piscean / Aquarian Age) make this a remarkable time.
During the Solar Eclipse on July 21 feminine energies were balancing in new ways with the yang. In this Lunar Eclipse male or yang energies are being balanced with the yin. This balancing can be seen from a variety of perspectives. If this is taken from a patriarchal stance the actions of an information age is divided into dialectic categories such as rich/poor and other hierarchical power imbalances. When we seek to understand male/yang energies from a partnership / Aquarian perspective understanding relationship is key. Thoughtful action holds the receptive (yin /feminine) principle in partnership as we share information in a pragmatic context eliminating the unworkable and enhancing efficiency. When yang includes yin in all actions the stage is set for a return of abundance and prosperity for individuals in relationship to community. As prosperity is revealed in the weeks to come a healing paradigm will become evident.
Finally innovation, collaborations and creativity are in the offing through evolution and the on-going revolution.

We are in the midst of a dimensional shift whose see were planted in 1992 and has been speeding up ever since that sea-change date.
However the last couple of years we have evidenced many shifts that have been more noticeable. We have entered into a waxing cycle where endings are followed rapidly by new beginnings as we approach the 2012 Mayan renewal. In waxing cycles there is an increase in the pull towards the shift and yet we resist. Resistance increases as the pull towards the end date draws closer because of the destruction of the old systems and the new way is unknown and untested.
This new moon in Cancer at 29 degrees while the other New Moon in Cancer (2 degrees) this fell on June 22 at 12:36 pm sandwiched a progression of how the goddess is honored and dishonored in our time. This New Moon is a way to clean karma that occurred when the Huns that swept across Asia and Europe destroyed the matriarchy. The structure of the patriarchy, mainly that of yin/yang or female/male, are being rebalanced to partnership energies.
Its no accident that there is more gender fluidity in our culture with emergent transsexual, transgender and inter-sexed individuals. When a society entrenched in the limited framework of the family as transfer of property between males is called into question by gender-fluidic roles we can gauge this as a sign that the hierarchal roles between traditional wives/husbands are in breakdown. Tolerance of these fluidic roles is indicative equality amongst partners at wave’s edge of an Aquarian Age.

The swathe of the eclipse passes over the mid to southern Pacific, Hawaii to Indonesia, Siberia, China, Pakistan, Afghanistan and India are subject to disturbances of Mother in the form of tsunamis and earthquakes.
The possibility of releasing karma through ritual and healing humanity on wide scale is a good possibility. But we need to also be aware of a wounding – through storms on a massive scale. The storms may be merely metaphorical. If so a healing vibration can be spread across the globe allowing the Aquarian dream of equality to be forged.
Finally on a more visceral political level we may see a clash between a vocal feminine movement versus the word of law resulting in new understanding of receptive actions in the world. This could also represent a new way of investing in the stockmarket through alignment with a feminine approach.

Full Moon In Capricorn – Lunar Eclipse

The Earth blocks the light (consciousness) of the Sun casting its light on the moon – always a full moon. This will not be a total lunar eclipse but a penumbra eclipse and a small one so that it will be barely perceptible but in Australia and Asia.
While light is consciousness we use our light to identify areas of darkness so as to release the psychological shadow to the light. Shadow elements or Capricorn and Cancer (Sun in Cancer) are available for us to look at, work with and release.
Some Cancer shadow issues are narcissism, over-indulgence, and immaturity, creating oneself as a victim.
Some Capricorn shadow issues are a patriarchal dominance imbued with capricious cruelty, rules that change for the sake of the power-possessor, and conversely martyrdom in isolation, blame, guilt and shame.
The nature of the 2000 years of the patriarchy has been associated with Capricorn and as we all know that no longer works. Transformational magic – destruction and re-creation forces are at work in all things patriarchal ranging from governments to business, Automobiles and oil both patriarchal and darkly Capricorn are undergoing destruction and re-creation processes.
Dreams and visions of the future and the future of the community of the planet are healing. When you look to June of 1990 – a similar healing theme is now occurring and that time was just before the beginning of the vibrational opening into the 6th world.
• 1st world – Sirians, Pleiadians and other ETs deposited life systems and life-forms on Planet earth - 1 million years
• 2nd world – Shambhalans arrived, Pangaea held all the corporeal and non-corporeal beings 100 thousand years
• 3rd world – Lemurians, Atlantians and Hyperboreans were the major races. The Shambhalans had disappeared from corporeal space
• 4th world began with the Nuclear destruction of the 3rd world and the beginning of the Matriarch 4,000 years

• 6th world – of partnership and community began in 1991

The evolution/revolution continues. Yes there was a lapse in my astrological reporting but we only need look around us to see the transformations of an accelerated world gone wild. The Guides – The Twelve have kept me fairly busy see blog http://thetwelvespeak.blogspot.com/ for more.
New Moons are about beginnings. During all new moons the nature of gravity the creates a strong downward pulling force. You may feel more grounded with a renewed sense of purpose. This may be especially true because this is a super full new moon when the Moon during a full or new phase is as close to the earth as it will get. This creates a greater force on earth’s tectonic plates. Indications hold that a major earthquake could occur in Pakistan or Afghanistan.
Larger cycles coming to an end – such as the 16 billion year Mayan cycle - are indications of a major evolutionary leap. We have all be feeling it one way or the other. Endings - especially finding lines in space (ha-ha) are never clearly delineated and to quote an Art Garfunkel song “they say in the darkest night there’s a light beyond, but endings always comes at last, endings always come too fast and they pass too slow…” We are deep in a period of endings – releasing the old familiar ways for something new and this may seem tediously slow and test our patience.
So this new moon is a radical redefinition of nurturing ourselves, a redefining of yin/yang or male female roles. Change and expansion is being supported in new ways to nurture our selves. The goddess in men and women is blending with the god or spirit in us all. One note of caution in business or work situations: be careful of having a thinking / talking overload, of saddling yourself with too much and imploding. Delegate, delegate - dance to the music...

Everyone has been feeling the changes. Change is always difficult for our egos because we can’t nail down the content of the future. Trust is an important factor in all-transformational environments. We need to trust universe, the Spirit and ourselves. When we have grounded trust in our being then change can be less stressful.
The nature – the very ground of our beingness – of how we nurture ourselves is being transformed. This is a back to basics movement based on the health of the environment and our very survival. Thus the longest day of the year in the Northern Hemisphere is both sobering and magical from an alchemical point of view. The best magic is when we surrender control to let Spirit and the forces of the universe shape our lives in exciting new ways. Surrender requires the presence of being to let go of old dysfunctional patterns while letting the Higher Self and/or Spirit bring a new healthy pattern to us.
The day can be a mixed one or it can be a springboard into the next 6 months (until the next solstice) and looking at our progress on 9/22 the Equinox. We can expand our dreams and visions and work to heal them as we work to clean our space and our planet. What are the dysfunctional patterns that sabotage you from manifesting your visions? Mercury Retrogrades

For the first two days of the Mercury retrograde period expect that commications will be intense, super friendly, philosopical and a bit disembodied. Endeavor to stay grounded and remember that the two sides of any issue are held together by the gestalt of the whole issue.
For the following period while Mercury retrogrades back through Taurus we can expect that values, beauty, sensual love, art and money issues will grow more intense. Start-up businesses having to do with green where Earth is part of the equations are good for rooting and growth. Money and the perception of money and its general collapse (down economy) is on every body's mind. If your reaction to intensity is fear that you will continue to be afraid about the security of your money. However if you break through your fear-based issues (face fear) you can excel in establishing new negotiations in growing your job, career or business.

This is a rich time of action amidst change. We may be able to focus our attention on out-worn habits that are ripe for transformation at this time. This is also a dynamic time between women and men in matters of love for the delights of chemistry and cleaning up old karma. The ability to choose and carry out a decision in linked with love and passion for our struggle from now until mid-July.
Now is a time of magic as long as we can lay the groundwork through hard work and planning, luck will follow.

Happy Spring Equinox

Moon at 19˚Capricorn
This is an in-between place on this - the first day of Spring. It's a delicate place of wanting to spring ahead into growth with many impulses to move ahead and a desire to look before leaping, except our daily work requires us to look at the details and cover all the bases or the bottom line.
On the brighter side compassion is everywhere once we look for it. Actions, thoughts and new ideas especially in connecting ourselves up with other in unique ways is favored.
The mood however is slow deliberate (solid) and cautious. And that is how it should be right now with a seemingly stalled economy. Impulsive actions and the quick fix are exactly what got us into this mess in the first place.
Now is the time for restraint and healing our visions.
Let us take the implusiveness we may be feeling and make a future plan based on the art and beauty of making money in the context of the greater good.
The needs of the many outweight the needs of the one or the few.
I am looking at new ways to give back while making my way forward, are you?

Full Moon in Virgo

This is one of the most important full moons of this year as it focuses the power of our emotions on the dynamic of transformation at work on our planet today.
The nature of this dynamic occurs throughout this year and into next year (Saturn-Uranus opposition).

European economy dipped into a recession. US Stock Market closed for 10 days. US went to the gold standard - the US dollar was backed by gold.
1918 - 20:
End of WWI, A recession began planting the seed for the 1929 Stock Market crash and the Great Depression. Radio technology was invented and used publicly.

This full moon focuses our attention on old structures of the de-stabilizing patriarchy (the old stuff that doesn't work) on sharp opposition to a faced paced evolutionary/revolutionary upheaval.
This call to service engenders a sense of innocence, awe and wonder; an urge to organize our lives, act on your ideals and heal our dream visions through thought, word and deed. New ways of being lead to new ways of doing...
The confluence of planets in traveling in the light of Aquarius portends a New Age. Between 2/24 and 3/10 is a time of completion and working out the principles of dreams / visions so that a new reality cane be grounded.

Hub-Hub about Age of Aquarius and 2-14-09
I've received several emails about 2-14-09 being the dawn of the age of Aquarius.
Happy Valentine's Day BTW
I would have responded sooner to this but alas I've been busy.
I will begin by saying that everyday we might meditate together in our seemingly separate bodies for peace and to so so at 11:25 pm PST on 2-13 or 12:25 am MST on 2-14 and so one across the USA (2-14 at 7:25 am GMT in Greenwich, England) on world peace and so on is always a good thing.
Perhaps the dawning of the Age of Aquarius is happening definitively on 2-14-09 as the authors of the Musical Hair have suggested, but once a month The Moon in Libra is in the 7th house. Mercury though in Capricorn is no where near Pluto in that same sign and Jupiter and Mars though close (within 2 degrees orb) are not exactly aligned. All the rest is pretty much true. And then again ... On January 20th 1998 at 10:13 am PST Jupiter and Mars were less than 1 degree orb in Aquarius (closer than now) and the Moon was in Libra in the 7th house - but that wasn't the dawn of Aquarius? Every 11 years or so we have a Jupiter/Mars aligning in Aquarius and Moon in Libra enters the 7th house. I guess Feb 14th Valentine's day makes the big difference then?
Astronomical Terms of the Age of Aquarius
It has to do with precession. More precisely precession is the wobble of the Earth Axis as it moves around the Sun while moving around the center of the Milky Way Galaxy. The appearance is the movement of the constellations (and stars) around the point of the vernal equinox or a precession of equinoxes that happen due to the wobble of Earth on her axis and appears independent of the rotation of our planet around the Sun.
The precession of the equinoxes (of Spring) points to each constellation in a backwards motion, so that the Age of Pisces is followed by the Age of Aquarius and that is followed by the Age of Capricorn and so on to Aries... Each age is approximately 2,150 years long

But technically speaking the vernal equinox enters the constellation of Aquarius in 2691 but does not leave the constellation of Pisces until 2817. Parts of the constellation Aquarius and Pisces overlap one another which could point to reasons where elements of both ages are blending now.
About the Two Ages
Pisces represents completion work having to do with compassion and spiritual from the most sublime to religious factions as well as ideals, dreams and visions and large institutions - corporations, governments and religious organizations. Aquarius represents astrology, democracy, invention, electronics, innovation, community, networking, the Internet, rebels, rebellion and revolution as well as world peace, singular thought and personal responsibility.

There are no lines in space so the Aquarian Age and the Piscean Age are blended giving us the opportunity to complete old business and begin new business simultaneously, which seems to be happening - aka solving global warming for the survival and benefit of all human-plant-animal and earth-being kind.

Moon Void of Course
You've never seen any writings from me on Moon Void of Course which literally means that the Moon does not have any major angles to it with planets just before it enters the next sign. During this time it is said that any endeavor will be for naught. So people who follow astrology closely believe that anything that one does during Moon Void of Course will be fruitless.
If you believe that then it will come to pass and this is another example of victim-think astrology. I, of course, do NOT believe Moon Void of Course has that effect on us. First of all those that consider major angles only in their interpretation leave out minor angles - a judgement call of convenience. Dane Rudyard said that minor angles unconsidered is foolishness and a waste of consciousness, I'm para-phrasing of course. Even if the moon did not have angles to planets or asteroids its likely that the energy would be pure allowing one to tap that mood and use it to create.

The penumbral Lunar Eclipse is a partial where the moon dims and takes on a yellowish tint due to the Earth's shadow blocking a small portion of the moon. This partial Eclipse is visible in Eastern Europe, Asia and Africa. Parts of the western US and in Canada will see the eclipse at Sunrise/Moonset. Total Lunar Eclipses (12/21/2010 is the next total lunar eclipse) from an astrological/psychological perspective are about the release of shadow emotional issues. A penumbral lunar eclipse throws a partial shadow dimming the Sun. This may be a more difficult eclipse pattern because shadow issues are not as clearly defined as the dark shadow of a total.
The release of the shadows needed to move us further into the Aquarian age without dragging the illusions and delusions of the patriarchy with us is necessary if we are to move forward.
The dividing lines between the Piscean and Aquarian Ages are not exact, although by 2700 AD we will be into the Aquarian Age. One of the problems with determining this new age is that the constellation Pisces overlaps the Aquarian Constellation. Those of you that know something of astrology – waxing and waning proximity of two planets from an earth point of view makes exact lines in space impossible.
I invite you to seek a refinement in your consciousness as you hold and put aside the personal issues facing you to look at the larger picture of humankind and the fate/destiny of planet Earth.

One way to explore our quasi-shadow issues is to look at the quasi-shadow issues of those countries that will experience the totality of this penumbral eclipse:
1. Consider the shadow issues of China, India, the Koreas, Siberia, Alaska, Southeast Asia, Australia/New Zealand and Hawaii. This area is mostly Asian where earthquakes dominate.
2. Try not to think too much about the intellectual reasons for the shadow issues about these countries. Instead let any emotions you have about Asians etc come to the surface.
3. Look at negative reactions biases and so on. Shadow issues are about opposites and "the other". Often times we repress or suppress that we don't want to see. A good way to look at the shadow for me is I look to friend who drives me nutty. What is it about them that is like me that I don't like in myself or is opposite of me?
4. If you're having negative, critical or mildly irritating feelings about this topic or a need to be right at the expense of another or any negativity in general look towards forgiving the other or yourself.
5. Make a ritual of release to let go of negativity while you invent a new aspect of yourself to take the place of the negativity.

One way to explore our quasi-shadow issues is to look at the quasi-shadow issues of those countries that will experience the totality of this penumbral eclipse:
1. Consider the shadow issues of China, India, the Koreas, Siberia, Alaska, Southeast Asia, Australia/New Zealand and Hawaii. This area is mostly Asian where earthquakes dominate.
2. Try not to think too much about the intellectual reasons for the shadow issues about these countries. Instead let any emotions you have about Asians etc come to the surface.

These forces we can see everywhere outside us and if we are very astute we can see that they are inside us too. Think of that which frightens you. This may be difficult to do because we seek comfort in the world. We are not seeking fearful situations to overcome them because we are hiding from our fears. The very nature of hiding from our fears is the basis of neurosis. Inside each of us is the desire for order and comfort that comes from the familiar organizations providing the security that as westerners we've grown accustomed. Let's not rock the boat and let everything unfold, as it should. Clearly that kind of thinking is no longer working – why? We live in a new world with many changes on many levels.

A couple of years ago everyone was flying high, making money and skipping the light fandango. Some were predicting that the Real Estate Bubble would collapse and fuel a recession/depression. The majority of us did not pay attention. "Oh Yeah, that…"
Now we have been stopped by the limits of excess that were the norm. While we may all acknowledge this radical and seemingly abrupt change it doesn't make dealing with unemployment, high debt and increased limitations (higher prices) any less easier to cope.
All we can do is keep going. The new moon is about the hope of the new world of change not quite yet manifest. This particular new moon represents step-by-step actions that can build a new world by carefully operating within limits and taking care of the details.
Being careful and working hard, paying attention and living in readiness to take up the banner of innovation and "we are all in it together" camaraderie are key.
As we begin this Moon Month it's very important to focus on what you need in the everyday life within the width and breath of your network. If you've been isolating its important to touch base with your friends, family and others in your support / business networks. The Inauguration is an example of the hope that's needed for the nation to go back to work and then the work begins.

Solar Eclipses are new moons that put a shadow on the earth. When we approach these occurrences with a playful consciousness we can release karmic shadow issues. Almost everyone has a negative idea of the word shadow. Certainly dark shadows are about the release of negative material. The Golden Shadow can also be released allow us to move off the addictive behaviors of looking to one man (President Obama) as the perfect savior. Our hopes (emotions) want him to be the perfect Savior-Man even though our minds know this is impossible. Releasing the golden and dark shadows moves away from the extremes of an addictive high of Obama as savior and feeling victimized by the pitfalls of the dark negative.
Approaching the Solar Eclipse with the idea we are releasing shadow puts us in a place of power – the power of presence and allows us to move on the path of mastery. Even though we will not witness the eclipse in this hemisphere the themes for release are:
1. Releasing doubt, fear/suspiciousness/paranoia. Releasing martyrdom-victim behaviors. Applying forgiveness /compassion to actions. Possibly opening a door to empathic/telepathic abilities by being a clear channel and being alert so as to take action.

Finding Balance:
When we honor the process of organic birth as it's associated to how we love then expansion into prosperity and abundance can proceed. If we go off into magical thinking without honoring the steps that bring projects and work to life then illusions and delusions can cloud our visions. If this line of action continues it could result in an on-going impulsivity that left unchecked could be violent and destructive.
Crosschecking between systems within us becomes of paramount importance. Barack Obama and The Inauguration
I decided before starting this process of looking at the jumping off point for this historic event that Barack Obama’s birth chart is only the beginning. I looked at the Chart for the USA (7/4/1776), 1/20/2009 at 12 pm EST for Washington, DC and Obama’s progressed chart delineating what he is working on now.
The Man:
Barack Obama is a Leo as is Bill Clinton. Both men are men of great heart as Leos as well as proud and willful.
Obama has Aquarius Rising leading me to sense that he is an innovator on a mission to save the world and able to observe and creative wildness serves him well. As a child of the 1960s he works single-mindedly towards his global / galactic dreams and visions. He must have a firm spiritual inner authority / practice to hold his own and this is clearly evident in the way he holds himself. The biggest danger is getting lost in the spin of his visions dreams and losing sight of where his is coming from and/or specific goals. However the Cabinet he has surrounded himself with represents a broad spectrum of grounding / counterpoint energies and can ideally present a good balance against spinning out so far.
Themes for Obama 09-10
We can expect him to be very creative in regard to how money is restructured in elegant ways. His progressed chart may reflect how we are feeling about the economy- wild forces at play. Obama will bring innovation and wonderful new dynamic ways of responding to the ebb and flow of a complex economy.
The focus of his life now is hard work and discipline in order to built a solid expansion. Astrologically he is in a very strong leadership position of listening, responding and showing the way.

If Obama can surrender the part of his ego that is most attached to the changes he is driven to make then the way of the change will be difficult but doable. If he tries too much at once the media / Republicans will shred him and defeat/block him at every turn in an impulsive devise manner.
The Kick-Off – Inauguration
The big question is do we want to look at the President as events relate to him or how he relates to events. Although it may sound like splitting hairs it isn’t. How couples relate to one another has two points of view. Couples, friends, employees – bosses have relational points of view.
Let’s look how Obama may respond within the parameters of the beginning of his presidency. Or – how will he serve the times:
The Inauguration Chart is Aquarian in nature leaning towards innovation in communication, community and exciting novel ways of solving old problems. Obama relates to these ways of community into two ways:
1. He expands into the ideas of community
2. He can work with great focus and discipline across ideologies both within America and globally.
His emotional intensity is exactly in-tune with Americans and our need for fundamental transformative change on a karmic level. His work ethic is geared towards a very focused new architecture for a working government.
The only danger is that the enormity of the problem should he decide to take on too much at once will overwhelm and defeat him.
The events of the world could help complete him in this lifetime or they could pull the rug out from under him sending him on a continuous scramble from one unstable island to the next. His Presidency could become one of fluff where he’s too lost in ideas, deluded and on cloud nine eventually wounded by events and blocked at every turn. I don’t believe that this will happen because he has a practical centrist vision whose plan is to unite moderates on either side of the aisle and he’s a dogged pragmatist.
What We Can Do:
We can participate with him through http://www.change.gov or through other venues. We can send him love and light. We can network in small and larger groups and work with visions of new communities. We can work with our representatives to bring about the changes we need to transform the world into the partnership – community culture that will be needed for seven generations.

Let’s look how Obama may respond within the parameters of the beginning of his presidency. Or – how will he serve the times:
The Inauguration Chart is Aquarian in nature leaning towards innovation in communication, community and exciting novel ways of solving old problems. Obama relates to these ways of community into two ways:
1. He expands into the ideas of community
2. He can work with great focus and discipline across ideologies both within America and globally.
His emotional intensity is exactly in-tune with Americans and our need for fundamental transformative change on a karmic level. His work ethic is geared towards a very focused new architecture for a working government.
The only danger is that the enormity of the problem should he decide to take on too much at once will overwhelm and defeat him.
The events of the world could help complete him in this lifetime or they could pull the rug out from under him sending him on a continuous scramble from one unstable island to the next. His Presidency could become one of fluff where he’s too lost in ideas, deluded and on cloud nine eventually wounded by events and blocked at every turn. I don’t believe that this will happen because he has a practical centrist vision whose plan is to unite moderates on either side of the aisle and he’s a dogged pragmatist.
What We Can Do:
We can participate with him through http://www.change.gov or through other venues. We can send him love and light. We can network in small and larger groups and work with visions of new communities. We can work with our representatives to bring about the changes we need to transform the world into the partnership – community culture that will be needed for seven generations.

Transforming Our Dreams
Managing the volatile/sublime aspect:
Pluto septile Neptune
Toltec Shamanism states that 1992 was the activation of The Sixth World because of a change of frequency of the Sun.* I know this personally because I received awakenings in 1990, 91 and 92. However there are no lines in space so that a clear delineation between one epoch / world and the next is not so clear. On the high end this aspect comes alive when the destiny and fate blend and a sense of spiritual purpose unfolds behind the scenes to reshape the collective dream. The low end represents dark forces that undermine freedom and tends to put people to sleep and into slavery in the name of patriotism and freedom.
When many astrologers look at the chart for the 9/11/2001 tragedy they could not find any correlatives that jumped out at them. Since most astrologers consider the septile a minor angle they didn’t think to consider it. One astrologer reports a darker side of this angle as impulsive, irrational rages bursting forth.
The following dates are the incidence of this aspect until it’s conclusion in 2011. Pluto destroys in order to create something new and Neptune represents our best visions of the future – the ideals of the perfect life.

The forces that shaped WWII from 1937 to 1941 – brought Hitler to power and threatened world domination through secret alliances was the last time these giant outer planets septiled. Before 1937, 1445 or 492 years passed Pluto and Neptune did a dance (1).

The division between Americans and indeed – factions of the world represent clear ideological differences that are alarming especially in this time of great change, institutional breakdown, panic and economic depression. The dissolution of the dollar in favor of the amero as the new currency brings rumors of a Civil War amongst the US citizenry. Mexico, US and Canada would, like Europe, share a common currency. Many believe (a fear) that the replacing the dollar with the amero would end our Bill of Rights even though this makes no sense given that the European Union has not destroyed the sovereignty of Nations. However it could be the first or second steps towards a world government where corporations via The World Bank could create a totalitarian state.
Neptune is also in its higher forms about Spirit and Spirituality. This aspect destroys religious institutional forms of spirituality in favor of an individual ascendancy. The prophecies speak about great changes and a purification and renewal/rebirth of the Planet. This process has begun.
The destruction of the old ways and the birth of the new ones are rubbing up against each other creating a renaissance, which is transforming our world into something, rich and strange.
Barak Obama is a practical man of vision who has seen these polarizing differences and through his intelligence seeks a middle path out of the chaos one that seeks to unite the polarized ideologies in an attempt to avert civil war and provide a new unity somewhere in the middle. It won’t be perfect but it could be miraculous.

Tracking Mercury Retrograde
01-11-09 at 8:37 am – 8 degrees Aquarius.
01-31-09 at 11:11 pm – 22 degrees Capricorn.
Part of the intensity of this Retrograding Mercury regards a focus on the future – where the mind is drawn. The focus of this chart isn’t a whole lot different from the chart of the Full Moon about 13 hours ago. (see Full Moon in Cancer - Below)
There are some notable differences one related to mood and karma. Moon in Cancer is at 29 degrees of that sign and is by degree karmic. Twenty-nine degrees of any sign is karmic because it represents all the good, bad, ugly and supremely beautiful stuff of that sign fixed at the end degree.
The best of Cancer is about Mother Earth nurturing our lives. I need not say the worst because Global Warming represents the worst for us. Other karma about Cancer that is under our control is a death-grip from extreme terror on the past for our security whether that is right or not.
I am about choice. When I am alerted to the fear I experience I work to let go and surrender to Spirit – therein lies my true security and miraculous answers to impossible questions.

Full Moon in Cancer 1-10-09

This is the first of five Super Full Moons (see below for explanation)
This particular Full Moon is at a closer perigee* than most of the other full moons making the gravitational and astrological effects more pronounced. [The other 4 super Full Moons are: 6/22. 7/22. 8/20 and 12/31.]
* per·i·gee noun – the point in the orbit of a satellite, moon, or planet at which it comes nearest to the object it is orbiting
New Moon to the next New Moon is a cycle of manifestation of which the Full is the midpoint. The start of this particular cycle began with the last new moon (in Capricorn) on 12/27. That’s when we planted seeds or ideas to germinate or grow within us. On 1/10 the seeds grow into a plant and begin to bear results the plant moves above ground and begins maturing. The cycle will complete itself at the beginning of the new cycle on 1/25 at the Aquarius New Moon and Solar Eclipse. Each New, Full and following New Moon represent a starting/ending point for each cycle on a spiral where the Full Moon is the beginning of the manifestation process. The Meaning of this Cycle (12/27 to 1/25)
I begin by looking at my responsibilities as I am connected to a concrete reality. This includes how I feel connected (or disconnected) to the planet on a personal level and how my daily activities are bound together in a way that makes practical sense. (If you are feeling disconnected a first step is grounding. Then check in with your practical limitations. Here I try to accept what I cannot change, apply gratefulness to my blessings and surrender to Spirit’s Path, which produces an immediate simple joy and bliss.) Once I acknowledge that I am a good householder, connected to the practical limits of my environment and grounded to Earth, I can act as a touchstone for others in my community if I wish. Capricorn represents the Father and the tradition of the Fathers or patriarchy. The institutions of our patriarchy clearly have been destabilizing for many years and are being destroyed in order to create something new. At the start of this cycle we were being asked to acknowledge and accept the limitations of Earth as a way to begin to nurture ourselves.
Now is the time to look to the integration of being responsive – able to see earth’s limits and practical reality to drawing nurturing from the well. If I seek to draw nurturing and security from external events such as money I could feel fearful and chaotic. When I seek to derive my security from external events there is never “enough” because this is a scarcity model for living. When I release and surrender to the light of Spirit I feel nurtured.
This full moon has a set of angles called a “mystic rectangle”. Dane Rudhyar – father of modern western astrology called these aspects a “practical mysticism”. The Sun (in Capricorn) opposite the Moon (Cancer) [Full Moon] connects to the opposition of Uranus (in Pisces) opposite Saturn (in Virgo) in a way that promotes profound transformation. It holds the door open to the past and the future while giving us opportunities to correct mistakes while we begin to open to a new paradigm shift. Our biggest mistake has been an exclusion of Earth in figuring GNP. One only need look at the economy today and see how we are up against a very real limit that cannot be ignored. (The Saturn – Uranus opposition in this door-opening configuration was exact on the day Obama was elected giving us great hope for an abundant future.)
Destiny is also configured into this full moon if we rise to the challenge without succumbing to fear and falling into the shadow of a blind faith of the Father. The forces of disciplined work, constraint, the karma of limits from the patriarchy (Saturn) and Mother Earth, the sense of home, nurturing and security (Moon) are trained on healing our dreams and visions of the Future (Neptune and Chiron). As individuals and as a people we are redefining a different kind of future where Earth matters in a different way. What that different way isn’t totally clear for everyone, but it’s clear that it is about relationship and equality. When I have a good and equal relationship with my personality parts, my emotions, my body, my spirit, other humans, plants, animals, insects, trees, and Planet Earth. These equal relationships manifest in ways that respect the sacredness of the relationship in practical terms. If this were to be true for every sentient being then the world would be transformed into a paradise just as many prophecies have forecast.
I hope that we all know that we cannot return to the unlimited consumerism of the past without taking into account the toll it has taken on the environment in its many forms and aspects. Since we utilize Earth as a resource for the goods we need to look to at least these two levels. The first is the space our trash occupies and the second is the pollution that contributes and has accelerated global warming. Healing the present includes humans, animals, the plant world, the landmasses, the seas and the atmosphere and that helps ensure that there will be a future for us.
I have to ask myself – how do I exclude from my consciousness all that I take for granted and use without considering where that originates. I work to become aware and change what I can.
Finally Jupiter leaves Capricorn for Aquarius on 1/5 where it remains until 1/2010. Jupiter in Aquarius is an expansion into a worldwide web or community consciousness based in fairness within the human family. The last two times that Jupiter passed through Aquarius there were significant breakthroughs in the world at large.

This is the first of five Super Full Moons (see below for explanation)
This particular Full Moon is at a closer perigee* than most of the other full moons making the gravitational and astrological effects more pronounced. [The other 4 super Full Moons are: 6/22. 7/22. 8/20 and 12/31.]

New Moon to the next New Moon is a cycle of manifestation of which the Full is the midpoint. The start of this particular cycle began with the last new moon (in Capricorn) on 12/27. That’s when we planted seeds or ideas to germinate or grow within us. On 1/10 the seeds grow into a plant and begin to bear results the plant moves above ground and begins maturing. The cycle will complete itself at the beginning of the new cycle on 1/25 at the Aquarius New Moon and Solar Eclipse. Each New, Full and following New Moon represent a starting/ending point for each cycle on a spiral where the Full Moon is the beginning of the manifestation process. The Meaning of this Cycle (12/27 to 1/25)
I begin by looking at my responsibilities as I am connected to a concrete reality. This includes how I feel connected (or disconnected) to the planet on a personal level and how my daily activities are bound together in a way that makes practical sense. (If you are feeling disconnected a first step is grounding. Then check in with your practical limitations. Here I try to accept what I cannot change, apply gratefulness to my blessings and surrender to Spirit’s Path, which produces an immediate simple joy and bliss.) Once I acknowledge that I am a good householder, connected to the practical limits of my environment and grounded to Earth, I can act as a touchstone for others in my community if I wish. Capricorn represents the Father and the tradition of the Fathers or patriarchy. The institutions of our patriarchy clearly have been destabilizing for many years and are being destroyed in order to create something new. At the start of this cycle we were being asked to acknowledge and accept the limitations of Earth as a way to begin to nurture ourselves.
Now is the time to look to the integration of being responsive – able to see earth’s limits and practical reality to drawing nurturing from the well. If I seek to draw nurturing and security from external events such as money I could feel fearful and chaotic. When I seek to derive my security from external events there is never “enough” because this is a scarcity model for living. When I release and surrender to the light of Spirit I feel nurtured.
This full moon has a set of angles called a “mystic rectangle”. Dane Rudhyar – father of modern western astrology called these aspects a “practical mysticism”. The Sun (in Capricorn) opposite the Moon (Cancer) [Full Moon] connects to the opposition of Uranus (in Pisces) opposite Saturn (in Virgo) in a way that promotes profound transformation. It holds the door open to the past and the future while giving us opportunities to correct mistakes while we begin to open to a new paradigm shift. Our biggest mistake has been an exclusion of Earth in figuring GNP. One only need look at the economy today and see how we are up against a very real limit that cannot be ignored. (The Saturn – Uranus opposition in this door-opening configuration was exact on the day Obama was elected giving us great hope for an abundant future.)
Destiny is also configured into this full moon if we rise to the challenge without succumbing to fear and falling into the shadow of a blind faith of the Father. The forces of disciplined work, constraint, the karma of limits from the patriarchy (Saturn) and Mother Earth, the sense of home, nurturing and security (Moon) are trained on healing our dreams and visions of the Future (Neptune and Chiron). As individuals and as a people we are redefining a different kind of future where Earth matters in a different way. What that different way isn’t totally clear for everyone, but it’s clear that it is about relationship and equality. When I have a good and equal relationship with my personality parts, my emotions, my body, my spirit, other humans, plants, animals, insects, trees, and Planet Earth. These equal relationships manifest in ways that respect the sacredness of the relationship in practical terms. If this were to be true for every sentient being then the world would be transformed into a paradise just as many prophecies have forecast.
I hope that we all know that we cannot return to the unlimited consumerism of the past without taking into account the toll it has taken on the environment in its many forms and aspects. Since we utilize Earth as a resource for the goods we need to look to at least these two levels. The first is the space our trash occupies and the second is the pollution that contributes and has accelerated global warming. Healing the present includes humans, animals, the plant world, the landmasses, the seas and the atmosphere and that helps ensure that there will be a future for us.
I have to ask myself – how do I exclude from my consciousness all that I take for granted and use without considering where that originates. I work to become aware and change what I can.
Finally Jupiter leaves Capricorn for Aquarius on 1/5 where it remains until 1/2010. Jupiter in Aquarius is an expansion into a worldwide web or community consciousness based in fairness within the human family. The last two times that Jupiter passed through Aquarius there were significant breakthroughs in the world at large.
